Czechoslovakian Vlcak - Wolfdog History
The journey for the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog began in 1955. Karen Hartl bred a Carpathian grey wolf with a German Shepherd Dog at military kennels in Czechoslovakia. A few years after this initial inception they decided to start a new breed. The initial generation bred a litter of puppies that could be trained but were incredibly difficult to get results from. Subsequent generations were bred with German Shepherd dogs and not hybrids to get the proportion of wolf down to 6.25%. These subsequent dogs were much easier to train but still had incredible navigational skills, night vision, hearing, sense of smell, as well as endurance.
This is an incredibly rare breed of dog with the majority of the very small number residing in the Czech Republic, Italy, and Slovakia.

"A lot of times diet is done on a per-dog basis. Each one is unique and has different dietary requirements. Most dogs in the U.S. are overweight. A mix like this one that is prone to hip and elbow dysplasia should really be on fish oil and glucosamine and chondroitin supplements as soon as possible. A good diet to look into is Raw Food Diet. A raw food diet will be especially good for the Wolf background.
Overfeeding any dog is not a good idea as that can really exacerbate health problems such as elbow and hip dysplasia.
